Monday, November 22nd, I got released from the hospital. When my partner picked me up from the hospital he helped the two nurses gather my things and me into the vehicle. I had one of those tall oxygen tank on a cart. At the first stop light of the hospital, he took a left and my oxygen tank cart almost smacked me in the face. A portable oxygen tank would of been nice to have. I learned really quick that I need to hold the cart so I don't get injured. On our way home we picked up my medicine from the pharmacy and Dairy Queen. I was craving Dairy Queen after I saw my mom eating it on a video call while I was in the hospital. Thanks mom for the idea! When we got home, my partner helped me walk to the front door. I had to tackle two steps, I made it but it was tough. I got in the front door and went straight to the couch and sat down. I felt breathless, and my heart was pumping fast. I took some deep breaths, and I was fine soon after. It felt pleasant to be home. I missed my fur babies: Fenris, the doggy, and Bella, the kitty cat. My partner had to leash the dog so he wouldn’t jump up on me and rip my oxygen tubing. He was so excited when he saw me, it's almost as if he couldn't process what was going on. Bella didn’t come out to see me till the next morning. I was hungry, so I got settled onto the dining room chair. I got the chicken tender basket. I kept coughing and tried to eat slow and take little bites. I was glad I got something in my body to give it some fuel. I felt mentally and physically exhausted since being released. All I wanted to do was sit on my comfy couch, snuggle up next to my partner, and watch a movie while I closed my eyes; and I got what I exactly wanted. I felt warm feelings as I was comforted and cared for.
